Patrick J. Snyder, P.E.

Civil, Coastal and Ocean Engineering

M.C.E., 2010 Ocean Engineering; Univ. of Delaware
B.S., 2008 Civil and Environmental Engineering; Carnegie Mellon Univ.
B.S., 2008 Engineering and Public Policy; Carnegie Mellon Univ.

Mr. Snyder earned his Master of Civil Engineering degree under Dr. Tian-Jian Hsu at the University of Delaware's Center for Applied Coastal Research. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy with honors from Carnegie Mellon University. As an Engineer in Training, Mr. Snyder is involved with field data collection, numerical modeling, design, permitting, and research for a variety of coastal engineering projects.

Since joining Olsen Associates, Inc. in 2010, Mr. Snyder has worked closely with senior engineers. His experience includes coastal structure design, statistical analysis of extreme storm events, historical shoreline and volume change analysis, and monitoring of coastal protection projects.

As a graduate student at the University of Delaware, Mr. Snyder participated in a range of numerical and physical investigations. His academic numerical modeling experience includes development of a wave breaking model to investigate sediment transport by density-induced flows.

Mr. Snyder is a member of the Chi Epsilon Engineering Honor Society, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Geophysical Union.
