Project Status Update

All dredging and beach construction equipment have been removed from the beach as of 30 August. Dune planting has been completed along Hanna Park and north Atlantic Beach (to about Oceanside), and partly along the south end of Jacksonville Beach. During the next few weeks, dune planting will proceed northward from 34th Avenue South (Jax Beach) through Neptune Beach and then northward through Atlantic Beach, expected to be complete by 30 September. Thank you to Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company for some great work and a restored beach and dune.
